Aroma
When you inhale the aroma of the essential oil of a plant, you are inhaling the very heart and soul of that plant....from its strong, tenacious roots to its beautiful, bountiful blossoms. You may be surprised to find that an essential oil does not smell the way a typical perfume smells. Synthetic perfumes and designer fragrances can be made from essential oils but are usually adulterated with artificial and potentially harmful chemicals that make them smell stronger and last longer.
When you see the generic term "fragrance" listed on a product label, there is no way of knowing what chemicals the company used to create that "fragrance". The term "fragrance" is not regulated by the federal government. Whether synthetic or not, companies do not have to specify any of the chemicals used in their "fragrance" mixture.
"Fragrances" are fake imitations of the natural plant aromas found in beautifully lush forests, on rocky ocean cliffs, or in dry, windy deserts.
A synthetic perfume or fragrance may smell good to you, but it will have no positive effect on your mind, body, and spirit the way that an essential oil can. This is because an artificial fragrance cannot connect us with nature the way a plant-based essential oil can.
The aroma of a plant's essential oil, on the other hand, evokes a primitive, deep inner connection with the natural world. An essential oil aroma can reach into our minds and open up a Pandora's box of memories and emotional states. Essential oils can alter our perceptions and tap into that area of our being that longs for a connection with the natural world. Connecting with nature can bring us peace and balance.
With aromatherapy and essential oils, you will experience all of the raw beauty a plant has to offer in its most purest form.
The aroma of an essential oil may be fleeting, but the overall benefits you derive from it can have everlasting effects...just like a timeless fairy tale.
PLANTS ARE TRULY HEAVEN SCENT.
